Nearly 80% of the world’s blindness is curable or preventable, but the lack of advanced ophthalmological training in developing countries can be a barrier.
Orbis International helps to deliver this education where it is most needed through their Flying Eye Hospital, an MD-11 donated by FedEx and equipped with cutting edge surgical and audiovisual facilities. The aircraft also serves as an ambassador to spread the message about ocular health globally.
ControlWorks is proud to partner with Orbis in saving sight worldwide. Since 2016, we’ve helped to design the audiovisual capabilities onboard this unique aircraft. ControlWorks technology is omnipresent yet designed to blend in so that teachers and participants are free to focus on what’s most important.
We continue to help Orbis’ team maintain and enhance onboard capabilities, ranging from a classroom and full surgical suite to 4K-ready broadcast and recording capabilities. We’ve also provided hands-on support in Dubai, UAE; Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and of course, throughout the United States.
Through our work with Orbis, ControlWorks continues to ensure that cutting-edge surgical care never gets dull.
